Crown Raising - Service Overview
Crown raising is the removal of the lowest limbs, or to prepare the lower canopy for the removal in the future by shortening the length to good growth points. Crown lifting is a great way of introducing natural light - only 15% of the live crown should be removed, and leave at least two-thirds of the total crown. In the planning stage, lifting is best referred to as a measurement from ground level (i.e. 5m clearance above ground level).
